      Hello Jos

There is no registration, you just hit the button a few seconds after the deisgnated time.

Sorry you have been unsuccessful: a couple of sales ago we still had units several hours later for the first time.

It looks like you were successful but I do not have your shipping details, Paypal says “No Address Provided”. Could you kindly email me your delivery details please?

    Hi Howard,
I was fortunate enough to have gotten through to purchasing one of these nifty devices! Thanks for all your efforts in keeping supplies available. How long will shipping take for us folks in Canada?

    • admin says:

I use Fedex International Priority: to most zip codes in the US, Canada and Western Europe, it achieves next working day delivery, so that should be Thurday 2 June.

All are already labelled, packed and ready for the Fedex guy.

I have been trying, always says SOLD OUT…tonight I tried a second after 2100.

    • admin says:

      Hello Ed

There were 100 successful purchasers last night between 2100 and 2152UTC. What was your local time? At Long Island, 2100UTC is 1700 local EDT.

      Howard

For those of you having problems ordering, be patient πŸ™‚

For me, i hit to ‘order button’ 1 sec after the announced time – only to be presented with a note: ‘PayPal cannot process this transaction because of a problem with the seller’s website. Please contact the seller directly to resolve this problem. ‘

No problem, i hit back button, made sure my shipping region was correct, and tried again..

This time, 1 min after announced time, it was showing ‘sold out’.

So back again, and again there were problems with the seller..

Ok, third time..and bingo, straight to the ordering details – fill them in – press Order, and Bob’s your uncle, as they say πŸ™‚

After i printed the receipt, just in case, checked from the beginning – sold out.. But as i checked an hour later, it went straight to the ordering screen – maybe Howard added some extra units?

So take your time, and try a few times, PayPal isnt perfect πŸ™‚

Ok, so they lost my address during the process, but luckily Howard noticed it, and asked for them via email.

So if you get a ‘sold out’ message, after pressing the button a few seconds past, just try again – not everything is what it seems with PayPal.

  11. Ric jackson says:

Got through ok and paypal then withdrew the money but then it was reversed back to me. Argh either miss or problems. I want one. πŸ™‚ any reason this would happen?

    • admin says:

      Hello Ric

Not sure, there were units available for about 50 minutes so unless you happened to coincide with the last successful order when I still had inventory I don’t see why it would break.

      Howard

  12. G8IUG says:

Thanks Howard, at last we got one, just awaiting delivery now

    • G8IUG says:

      Delivered yesterday
      Many thanks for prompt service.
Now time to play !!!! πŸ™‚

  13. Peter M1PFS says:

Do you know approximately when the next sale is on?

  14. Mark King says:

When I paid via PayPal my confirmation email said I paid by eCheck. And it would take 3 to 5 days for payment to clear. PayPal has never done an eCheck with my account. Is the 3 to 5 days accurate for wait time for payment to clear? Thanks, and keep up the great work on the FCD.

    • admin says:

      Hi Mark

      Thanks for your note.

You are not alone, I get two or three uncleared payments a week: they’re not dealt with very well in Paypal because it doesn’t show the final clearance in the account overview, so I have to make a conscious effort to be on the lookout for them. 3 to 5 days is about right.

      Howard

  15. Dave says:

    • admin says:

      Hello Sigi

      Thanks for your note.

I have no experience of RDS decoding I’m afraid, so I am not sure what the problem is. I don’t have any knowledge of the encoding format, do you know how it works?

      Howard

    • Rob says:

Sigi, the bandwidth of the FCD is too small for RDS decoding.
